Our Mission

Feral Arts and Culture is a literary and performance art nonprofit organization. Our mission is to nurture writers and artists from working-class, immigrant, and marginalized communities and provide them with a pathway to publishing and performance through workshops, mentorship, and grants.

Our small volunteer board is made up of writers, musicians, and do-ers who want to see YOU get your book published, your play produced, your movie made, and your record pressed.

You help the mission by donating and attending FA&C events. We are a recognized 501(c)3 organization.

Am I Working Class?

Feral Defining what constitutes working-class and who are the working-class has been debated in academia and argued in taverns. There is no easy definition. Yet working-class folks have life experiences and situations that, when considered, become class markers. Some include: you don’t have a college degree, your parents and grandparents didn’t attend college, you grew up in rental housing, you attended public schools, you sell your labor,
