Sahan Jayasuriya

Milwaukee writer Sahan Jayasuriya was awarded a small stipend grant to allow him to take time away from his job to complete his manuscript about the legendary Milwaukee band Die Kreuzen.

Puddler Hall Block Party

Headquartered in the historic Puddler Union Hall, where the first strike for the 8-hour day began on May 1, 1886, this block party celebrates workers and makers with a daylong party of live music and artisans.
